I am alive!

So I guess I should answer a few general emails.

Yes, Im alive.

No, Im not hiding.

Ive just been very busy.

I think I left off the week before last.....
I went with my aunt to that obscure family reunion in the middle of nowhere. Pretty drive there but I was trapped in the middle of no where, surrounded by people I dont know, at a not kid friendly party with a toddler. It was hell but they had cake.

Last weekend I took a 3 day weekend and brought Lea down to my parents house. We went to the Bristol Renaissance Fair on Saturday. Its my favorite Renn fair purely because their entertainment is always awesome! I wore my R2D2 tank top and got tons of compliments.
We watched the jousting and cheered for Sir Max. For funzies we bought a supporting flag and had it signed by Sir Max. Later in the day walking around a kid around 10 years old ran up to us and asked if we were Sir Max supporters. When we told him we were he beamed and told us all about how thats his dad. We had him sign the flag too. It was super cute.

This week has been... busy.
Sunday night after we got home I put Lea to bed and she had a coughing fit all night.
Monday she seemed like she only had a bad cold so I brought her to daycare. On the way to pick her up after work my tire went flat just before I reached the daycare. Maor picked Lea up from the daycare while I dealt with the flat tire. By dealt with I mean used the AAA card my grandmother got us for my birthday and had someone else fix it. It was upper 90's out so I wasnt about to bust my ass. It turns out my back shock came off the track and the pointy end rubbed a hole in the tire. So what I thought was just poor lubing from rotating my tires 3 weeks ago was actually a big problem.
While I finished up supervising the poor guy who had to change my tire in horrible heat Maor took Lea to AppleBees and ordered dinner for us. I got there right before the dishes came. I noticed he didnt bring in Leas sippy cup so I asked him to go get it. While he was gone a waitress put a plate in front of me that was pretty much just macaroni and cheese with bacon. I told her she had the wrong table. She looked around and said, "Nope, this is yours." I said, "Oh, geeze, Im sorry. My husband is Jewish. He cant have bacon. Im really sorry! Did it have bacon in the title? Hes usually good about this."
She said it was no big deal and ran back to see if it could be remade without bacon real quick before he noticed. It couldnt because the bacon was in the sauce so she grabbed the guy who was actually our waiter and explained what happened. The guy freaked out for us.... when Maor came and sat down without knowing he had ordered a bacon meal the waiter ran up to him and launched into an awkward speech. He said "Oh man, Im so sorry I didnt know. Are you from Israel? Oh my god, I just have to shake your hand. I have so much respect for Israel. Im totally on your side! I really hope one day I can make it to the holy land one day! Im really sorry! I'll get this fixed for you!!"
...I dont know about Maor but I wanted to hide under the table. The manager came by next and much more calmly and quietly recommended a chicken pasta dish...which we took...and ate quickly so we could leave.

Tuesday morning Lea woke up with crusties in her eyes. This is going to sound gross but if I sleep funny with a cold I also get that but it goes away through the day so I didnt think anything of it. Tuesday night we picked her up and her eyes were still red and had been mucus-y all day so I called the nurse line for her doctor and they said to bring her in. She had an ear infection. We got her medicine and shes already back to normal.

Work has also been frustrating. One admin is moving to another state and her last day was supposed to be yesterday. We hired a replacement for her but after a week and a half she emailed our branch manager and said that our office wasnt a friendly environment. When he announced it we said, "Fuck that crazy bitch! We are awesome!" and spent the day trying to figure out who scared her off. Personally I dont think anyone did. I think she couldnt hack it. Why the hell else does someone quit by email instead of coming in and just saying "This isnt working." Our jobs look easy because they are...once you get in to knowing what you are doing which takes about 2 months. The first 2 month are kinda hell and you spend most of the time lost and making shit up. I really do love my job but I gotta say its 10% what I do and 90% who I work with... bunch of crazy bastards that cuss like sailors... I love em.

So the next month is going to suck a little with it only being 2 admin...or 2 admin and one person in training. Just having one more person to answer the phones is a big help. The girl who is leaving felt bad about the new person quitting suddenly so she is doing half days till she leaves which is really sweet of her considering shes trying to get her house packed up so she can move to the west coast.

So yeah... Ive been busy...

Hello family!

Last weekend my Gramzy and aunt to stay with us for the weekend. Mostly because we would be dropping Gramzy off at the airport at 4am Monday morning.

My aunt had told me to plan the weekend full of fun things to do so I thought we would go to the Irish festival on Saturday then play Sunday by ear. When the got here we ended up staying home all weekend playing at the park and visiting. Lea and Gramzy were both super moody. Gramzy because shes been away from home for 2 weeks and is tired. Lea because of her teeth.

It was a nice weekend. My aunt and I went and saw a house which made me feel much better about buying a house with her. We are looking for the same things and she finally listened when someone told her to get her shit together and get a pre-approved loan before really looking. One step forward.
We also went and saw a movie together, Elysium. Good movie. Violent and a decent story line. I had a few problems with it but it was worth the price to see on the big screen.

Next weekend Im family free on Saturday. My aunt is trying to rope me in to going to some obscure relatives wedding anniversary party on Sunday but I preparing my excuses.

Weekend after next I'll be heading back over to WI to go to the Renn fair! I will be meeting up with my mom, my sister, my brother, and 2 of my best friends. Its going to be a good time. I love Renn fairs. I would go every weekend if I could. I went to my first one when I was about 6 or 7, had a blue dragon painted on my face, and it was the first time I remember telling people "Im a boy" (because I was a HUGE tom boy growing up) and instead of adults arguing with me they said "Well of course you are, here is your sword, go kill that giant over there". It was all fun and games but I felt normal being with ridiculous people.

I cant decide if Im going to dress up or not. If I dont my sister wants to borrow my costume. I wish I could get a new costume so we could both dress up... but I need to buy new work cloths so the dress up stuff needs to wait.

Snapchat

I have recently acquired Snapchat at the request of my little sister.

So far all we have been doing is sending pictures back and forth of stupid faces we can make.

But I was thinking... I can send dirty things this way (not to my sister...that would be gross).

So just as an experiment for now. If you have snapchat and want to get super secret surprise nudes and/or semi nudes I will add you to my special pervert friends list for a month for a $5 donation (I dont know how many nudes I will send... this is experiment stage.)

Or if you just want to be on my list and get my random pictures (and send me stuff too) my users name is Immora.

Also, Im not responsible for anyone opening nudes at work and getting in trouble...thats all on you.

So little cake but so much chaos!

Last week was my mothers 50th Birthday. We went down to her place for the weekend for her large birthday bash. It was a lot of fun but exhausting. People overload.
My aunts were there, my Grandma was there, a family friend was there all weekend constantly taking pictures of everyone and chasing Lea with the camera (we called him the Pooperatzi). There were 70 people at my mothers actual birthday party.
Amazingly enough both the caterer and the bakery over estimated how much my parents guest could eat and only half the food was gone by the end of the night.
I have at least a week worth of brisket in the fridge...but only one slice of cake. My mom was a bit stingy on the cake left overs. Im not too surprised, it was good cake.

After all the people all weekend long I was very happy to get home and have some quiet time. Lea was obviously overwhelmed and acting up from being off her routine. We made it home early, unpacked the car, and were ready for a night of nothing when my aunt called. The one who is taking a temp nursing job here in MN. The cousin of ours she was staying with wasnt home (because she told him that she would be there that night and showed up at 2pm surprised he wasnt home) and Gramzy needed to sit down so she was heading to my house. Ok.... so I entertained and Lea was the subject of the pooperatzi for another night. I love my family and never see them so whatever. I could have sweet quiet and routine Monday night once our normal week started up.

Monday night I came home to my aunt sitting in my house. She thought she would come and hang out after her CPR test. I gave her a key the night before after she was yelling about our cousin not being home and told her she could stop by whenever she wanted. Oh silly silly me.
She chased Lea around again with her camera, we took a walk and bought a powerball ticket, and I finally kicked her out way past Leas bed time so I could put Lea down.

Tuesday night I went home to sweet sweet routine empty house.
I made dinner, Lea and I played, we did bath time, we started reading stories....then it started raining...and hailing...I could hear it hitting the roof...then halfway through Bears New Friend the power went out.
I walked out into the living room to see what the heck was going on and saw that the storm that was hitting us was so bad I couldnt even see the next door neighbors house through the rain and the hail. (I live in compact suburbs so thats pretty damn bad. The neighbors fence is maybe 20 feet away and I couldnt see it)
We have a large tree that if it came down would crush half the house so I immediately decided that the house wasnt safe, grabbed a blanket for Lea, grabbed her diaper bag and my cell phone, and sat out the storm in the basement.
Funny thing was I was really scared and worried that my being scared would make Lea scared so I sat in the basement with her pressed up against me and sang the whole time to keep her calm. She didnt make a peep and I didnt realize she was asleep until the storm was over and I put her down in her crib.
After I put Lea into bed I ran out to see if everyone else lost power. They did and they all also ran out to see the damage. It was pretty bad. Street lights were totally snapped in half, trees were down, cars and houses were missing windows from the hail.
My car and Maors truck that I now need to sell because he got a new one were fine....much to my disappointment...because when you want your car to be destroyed so you can get the insurance money for it it never is.
I did jump into action after figuring out the power wasnt going to be a quick fix and pulled out my life supply of tea lights that I never know WHY I have but always do no matter where I go. I called Maor to make sure he was ok and kept getting his voice mail. So I nervous cleaned for 2 hours by candle light until I was too tired to clean anymore.
He did come home around 11:30...and I yelled at him for tracking mud on my clean floors.

The power was still out when I woke up in the morning. Luckily I could take a hot shower but I had no idea what I was wearing when I walked out the door, my hair wasnt done, and I didnt get my coffee.
I did stop at Starbucks and had a good time picking out who had power at their house and who didnt. I suspect the women doing their makeup in line did not, the guy with the back of his hair standing on end did not, and that woman in the smart suit, caked on makeup, and fantastic hair did (that bitch).

The power was back on when I came home from work and I didnt find any relatives sitting in my living room...so I did get a break this evening.

However the relatives will be back on Friday.

I had to add the beer picture purely because I like the name.
